Health disclaimer

Our workouts and guides are general information, not medical advice.

Check first if…

The NHS advises speaking to your GP first if you haven't exercised for some time, or if you have medical conditions or concerns. Please also get advice from your GP, midwife, health visitor or a physiotherapist before trying our workouts if:

  • you're pregnant or have recently given birth (including after a caesarean);
  • you have a health condition, an injury or symptoms such as pain, or you've recently had a health event such as an operation;
  • you have pelvic floor symptoms (such as leaking or a heavy, dragging feeling), osteoporosis or a history of falls;
  • you're not sure whether an exercise is suitable for you.

While you exercise

  • Warm up first and cool down after.
  • Work at a level that feels right for you. The "talk test" helps: at moderate intensity you can talk but not sing.
  • Use a stable chair or wall for support where suggested, and clear space around you.
  • Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or unwell. If you have chest pain or severe breathlessness, get urgent medical help — in an emergency call 999. For non-urgent advice, use NHS 111.

Our content

We base our guidance on official UK sources, link to them, and show when guides were last checked. But we can't know your circumstances, and no website can replace a professional who can examine you. By using this site you agree that you exercise at your own risk.
