Chair triceps dip
Lowering and lifting your body using a chair behind you — works the backs of the arms.

How to do it
- Sit on the edge of a sturdy chair placed against a wall and grip the front edge beside your hips.
- Walk your feet forward and slide your bottom off the seat, knees bent.
- Bend your elbows straight back to lower your body a little way.
- Press through your hands to straighten your arms.
Form tips
- Keep your back close to the chair.
- Elbows point straight back, not out.
Common mistakes
- Dropping too low.
- Shoulders rolling forward.
